Irina Reyn will read from her novels What Happened to Anna K. and The Imperial Wife.
The Imperial Wife (2016) tells the story of a Soviet Jewish American woman in the 21st century and of Catherine the Great before she became head of the empire. It’s a great study of Jewishness, Russia, the US, and immigrant experience (Catherine is presented as an immigrant too).
