Join the Association of Black Collegians and Amnesty International for a screening of the Netflix documentary 13th, directed by Ava Duvernay (Selma). The documentary follows the criminalization of black bodies in the United States after the passage of the Thirteenth Amendmend, which outlawed slavery, and uncovers how mass incarceration acts a new means of slavery. Following the screening, there will be a discussion, allowing all of those who attend to ask questions and give their interpretations of the film. Food will not be provided.
