Since its founding in 2007, A Far Cry has stood at the forefront of a new generation of classical musicians by expanding the boundaries of orchestral repertoire. Drawn from its Grammy-nominated debut recording, Dreams and Prayers explores music as a connection between man and the divine. With material spanning a millennium and three major faiths, A Far Cry positions its own arrangements of Hildegard von Bingen and Beethoven beside newly commissioned work by Mehmet Ali Sanlıkol and Osvaldo Golijov. The extraordinary David Krakauer, arguably the world’s greatest living clarinetist and a galvanizing presence on any stage, joins the ensemble.

Program: von Bingen / O ignis spiritus paracliti // Sanlıkol / Vecd // Golijov / The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind // Beethoven / Heiliger Dankgesang, from Quartet in A minor, Op. 132
