Make way for Japanese snow spirits, dragon kings, and samurai heroes when the Satori ensemble delivers the sights and sounds of centuries-old folklore from the other side of the globe. With shadow puppetry, mime, and masked performers, Satori performs stories of broken promises in “The Snow Bride;” a samurai warrior in “The Ogre of Rashomon,” and feline protectors who come to the rescue in “The Boy Who Drew Cats.” Traditional Japanese music on the shakuhachi (bamboo flute) and East Asian percussion accompany these supernatural tales that are perfect for the Halloween season, and perfectly entertaining for all ages.
