Jazz Combos

Jazz Combo is a performance ensemble class which pursues the study and performance of jazz repertoire in an ensemble format.  Students develop interpretation and improvisational skills in jazz compositions and arrangements in a variety of jazz styles.  The repertoire for the ensemble's most recent performance included "Mamacita" by Joe Henderson, "Desafinado" by Antonio Carlos Jobim, and "Cantaloupe Island" by Herbie Hancock.  Admission is free.  Tickets availalbe through the box office Monday-Friday betwen noon and 2:00pm and 4:00-5:00pm, or one hour before the show.  Tickets can also be ordered online at lafayetteartstickets.com
