In collaboration with Lafayette College Concert Band students and its director Larry Stockton, a new 40-minute concerto for taiko and wind ensemble: Shiki (The Four Seasons) by Prof. Kirk O'Riordan will be featured. The piece combines the power, theater, and timbral diversity of Japanese Taiko drums with the sonic grandeur of the modern concert band. Each movement depicts an aspect of the season.
