Artist Julia Buntain explains her in exhibition in this short statement: "Windows into the Mind is a site-specific installation for the guard house on Sullivan Road. Comprised of old-style brain slides from rhesus macaque monkeys, the slides will be arranged in a visually dynamic manner along thin aluminum strips filling the windows. These slides will illuminate in the daylight and glow in the evening from a hidden indoor clamp light. As the viewers peer in at the slides they will be peering into the guard house structure, juxtaposing the large empty space with the small slides containing something much larger: parts of minds past." This event is the opening of the new "Garde House" space that will have yearly changing exhibitions. This space will be added to the Karl Stirner Arts Trail, and at the same time on April 30th there will be similar Meet the Artists events held throughout the trail.
