You have probably been encouraged to “think outside the box” thousands of times. But have you ever wondered what “the box” is? Why do these conventional categories exist? Why is it difficult to think outside of them?

The answer is simple: boxes exist because they are useful shortcuts to perceive our world. At TEDxLafayetteCollege, we don’t want to just get rid of boxes, but rather redefine them: taking the useful bits, and upgrading the rest to suit the dynamics of our modern world.

TEDxLafayetteCollege Student Conference is returning December 3rd. Come and join eight fellow students sharing about the different boxes they redefine.
