The April and May earthquakes in Nepal that claimed the lives of more than 9,000 people and injured much more had devastating consequences. The response from around the world was to send relief materials, collect funds to assist in relief and reconstruction. Donations were collected on the Lafayette Campus as well. Come learn of what was done with the money collected from those donations and of the status of post-earthquake reconstruction in Nepal in general, including achievements and challenges. Reconstruction of Nepal is not complete and future programs are still necessary and important. Hear how the Lafayette community plans on being involved in future reconstruction activities.

Monika Niroula '17, spent the summer in Nepal, working with earthquake relief. She will give a presentation and answer questions about her experiences.

Pizza will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
