 \n/The Resurgence of the Left in Latin America/ (2011). He is currently en
 gaged \nin research on the durability of revolutionary regimes\, the relat
 ionship \nbetween populism and competitive authoritarianism\, problems of 
 party-building \nin contemporary Latin America\, and party collapse and it
 s consequences for \ndemocracy in Peru.
