Marc Jensen, Director of Maritime Operations for the Hermione, was one of the crew members on the historic voyage to America in May.  A life-long sailor, an engineer, and an educator, Jensen avidly followed the progress of the building of the ship in Rochefort, France, near his ancestral home.  Jensen, who is bilingual and a resident of the U.S., was named a U.S. delegate to the project in 2011.  Jensen will talk about what life was like aboard during this recent crossing and how it differs from what was experienced by the sailors of 1780. From sleeping to eating or simply working the sails, the 2015 Hermione crew had many advantages for crossing the Atlantic.
