Kimberlé Crenshaw, Professor of Law at Columbia and UCLA, will deliver the keynote address celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Women's & Gender Studies Program at Lafayette. Professor Crenshaw is a founder of intersectionality theory and a specialist in Critical Race Studies and Critical Legal Studies. Her pioneering scholarly work has been central to the development of the field of Women's and Gender Studies over the last three decades.
