President Alison Byerly, Professor Neil Fraistat (Director, Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities), and Paul Barclay (Chair, Mellon DH Steering Committee & History) will lead a discussion with audience members about the role of Digital Humanities in the future of liberal arts education. The conversation will focus on how a community of practice at Lafayette College is unifying teaching and research with support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation's Digital Humanities grant and in partnership with the Library's Digital Scholarship Services. The panel will also address the challenges and opportunities presented by longer-term commitments to digital scholarship from the perspective of institutions and individual teacher-scholars.
