A talk in conjunction with the Skillman Library exhibit "'My New American Life: Contemporary Immigration Literature."  Alumnus Joe Nechasek '62, who owns the collection and curated the exhibit, talks about the joys and challenges of collecting immigration literature.  The exhibit showcases 85 books, the work of writers from more than 27 countries.  Although the stories are primarily fictional, they provide a rich commentary on the myriad ways immigrants experience American culture and contradictions.
