Indigenous Voices of Ukraine - The Crimean Tatars of Crimea

Ms. Bakkalli will discuss and show an 18 minute film (produced by Anastasiya Terentyeva and Valentina Bardakova) "Indigenous Voices of Ukraine-The Crimean Tatars of Crimea" that reviews the history of the Crimean Tatars (deportation, first annexation, second annexation). Ms. Bakkali will elaborate on how giving the Crimean Tatars official indigenous status could be pivotal for Crimea.
