Five exciting works are performed this evening: Leonard Bernstein's "Overture to Candide"; two songs by Percy Grainger (conducted by Assistant Conductor Sam Freiheiter '15): Eric Whitacre's "Sleep;" and the finale from Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony. The program concludes with the world premier of Kirk O'Riordan's new symphony-length work, "Iris".
