The place is an affluent suburb of a mid-sized American city; the time "the possible future" when the national economy has slid from recession to depression into something worse; the action a hilarious and unlikely mix of John Cheever and Dario Fo. Recently revised by the playwright, Mary Gallagher, Lafayette's 2012-13 Closs Visiting Writer-in-Residence, this sharp satire of the elite one per cent facing financial ruin deftly shatters the moral superiority of the ninety-nine with blast after blast of laughter occupying the stage.
