Henry S. Pettingill, Director of Exploration at Noble Energy will give a presentation on "Discovery Thinking". The talk will focus on how Nobel Energy viewed both the geology of the Eastern Mediterranean as well as the engineering and economic issues differently from others in the energy industry, and hence determined that it was worth risking a significant monetary investment. The result was a discovery of 100 years of gas supply for Israel, and these 2 discoveries are the #1 and #2 deepwater gas discoveries for the entire industry over the last decade.
