Carlo Rotella, the 2011 Ruth Mary Callahan Closs Visiting Writer, will read from and discuss his work.
Formerly a Lafayette faculty member, Rotella is now the Chair of American Studies at Boston College; his works include Good With Their Hands: Boxers, Bluesmen, and Other Characters From the Rust Belt (California, 2002) and Cut Time: An Education in Boxing (Houghton Mifflin, 2003), and he writes regularly for such publications as the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post Magazine, and the Boston Globe.
