Abstract: Botanica Mathematica is a collaborative maths/art exhibition that explores the ideas of pattern formation in plants. In this talk we will look at some of the surprising patterns that appear in nature, the mathematics behind them, and how these can be turned into knitting patterns. The audience is very welcome to bring their knitting to the lecture. :-)
