The next installment of the monthly digital humanities lunch discussions will take place at 12:15pm on Thursday, March 5 in Skillman 004. This month will feature a brief presentation by Prof. Chris Phillips in the English department.

As faculty chair of the Mellon Digital Humanities Intitiative, Phillips will give a brief presentation of his database project on the Easton Library Company—the Lehigh Valley's first public library, founded in 1811—to start a conversation about how to start and develop a DH project at Lafayette. Phillips's work incorporates database design, CBLR (Community-Based Learning and Research), GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and other aspects of the college's DH programs and support.

Lunch is provided, and all are welcome to join the discussion, from veteran DH practitioners to those interested in learning more about this growing field.
