Come here a Lafayette alumnus/law school professor's best advice about planning a legal career.

 

Since 1991, Mr. Peter A. Alces '77 has been the Rita Anne Rollins Professor of Law at The College of William and Mary School of Law. He received the Faculty Plumeri Award in 2012 for faculty excellence where he teaches contracts, sales, product liability, and law& neuroscience.

 

He earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law where he graduated magna cum laude in 1980. He was a Harno Fellow, published two student works in the law review and was the Topics Editor in his third year of study. Mr. Alces graduated from Lafayette College in 1977 earning his A.B. in English; he won the Gilbert Prize in English, received Honors in English Literature, and was a Charles A. Dana Scholar.
