Have you ever critically examined how the media portrays people of varying racial identities? Have you wondered about the glorification and fetishism of Black bodies in film, television and magazines? Join us as Sean Courtney '15, a senior student assistant in the Office of Gender & Sexuality Programs, leads a discussion on various portrayals of Blacks and African-Americans in the media. This discussion will cover a range of topics, including Black sexuality in pornography, modeling and fashion, music, film, and television. Food will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
