The BIRDS & THE BEES: UNABRIDGED uses real-life experience to explore the interwoven lives of eight women and trans people forced to confront their own shifting identities, struggles, and confusions surrounding their sexuality. Through dialogue, movement, song, humor, and multimedia, the performance examines such themes as sexual identity, LGBTQIA issues, partner communication, the de-sexualization of aging women, today's "hook-up" culture, and sexual health.

After the show, at 8:30 p.m., the cast and crew will lead a sex education workshop in collaboration with Gene Kelly, Lafayette College Director of Gender and Sexuality Programs. Students and community members are encouraged to join in this dialogue about female and trans sexuality led by performers and directors who are highly trained teaching artists and sex educators.
