Please join us for an ice cream social and poetry reading by Jared Harel, the Jean Corrie Poetry Competition judge,  and students whose poetry he selected in the competition.   An open mic reading follows.  Next we'll hold an informal question-and-answer session with Jared Harel about writing and the writing life.  Pizza will be served during the question-and-answer session.

Jared Harel is an inspiring young poet with a fresh and engaging voice.

"Harel writes with such grace, lacing his preoccupations with such a light touch of humor, that you often forget The Body Double is cut from the same big questions that keep us all up at night. If you've strayed from poetry, this is the book that will bring you back. If you've ever secretly wished that Kafka had been an optimist, this is the poet for you."
