The cartoonist, engraver, graphic novelist and painter known as Eko will be in residence at Lafayette from October 4 through October 18. He is visiting us from Mexico. The EPI / Riley Temple Gallery is delighted to present an exhibition of his works and invites you to join us for the opening reception at the Portlock Black Cultural Center. There will be a taco bar from Don Juan's.

Eko has collaborated on projects for The New York Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and El País, in addition to having published numerous books in Mexico and Spain. He taps into a broad tradition of Mexican folk art with his erotic and often controversial wood etchings, which can be found on his website.

This is an approved cultural arts elective for Intercultural Competency Certificate participants.
