Dr. Cecil Othello Brandy, current Chairman of the Liberia Land Commission, will visit Lafayette to explore the College's historic connections to Liberia. During his visit, Dr. Brandy will review the records of John McDonogh and his freed slaves, two of which attended Lafayette College in the early-1800's. Dr. Brandy will have informal conversation with students, faculty and staff about the historic and contemporary implications of African colonization as well as the current health crisis in Liberia.
