The annual LaBarre Tailgate, sponsored by the Friends of Lafayette Basketball and Lafayette Alumni of the Lehigh Valley, will be held on Saturday September 13, 2014, starting at 4pm on the lower level of the Markle Parking Deck.
Dues-paying members of the LALV, members of FOLB and Lafayette’s basketball teams and staffs as well as their families are invited to attend.
The tailgate precedes Lafayette’s home football opener vs. Robert Morris University (kickoff at 6pm). The tailgate features sausage and meatball sandwiches as well as salads and desserts. T
here is no charge for the event, but attendees are encouraged to make donations or bring dessert.
The 25 year plus event is named in honor of Dick LaBarre ’58, a loyal Leopard football and basketball fan renowned for his tailgates.
