Based on the 1980 cult film classic of the same name, this musical written by Douglas Carter Beane, with music and lyrics by Jeff Lyne and John Farrar, is a light-hearted spoof of matters both earthly and mythical, as a Greek muse sent from Mount Olympus to inspire the mortals of California’s Venice Beach, meets and falls in love with an artist and helps him realize his dreams. Features such hits as “Magic,” “Evil Woman,” and “Have You Never Been Mellow”--some of which are sung by the cast on roller skates!Directed by Mary Jo Lodge.
