Have you used a computer before?  Are you using one right now? Then join us for a double feature about Silicon Valley to find out a bit about where it came from.

First up: Silicon Valley, a documentary (82 minutes) about the origins of the region into the 1960s and the makings of a modern icon of computer history. William Shockley, Fairchild Semiconductor, Robert Noyce, NASA, the Cold War, Intel, Gordon Moore, et al.

Second up: Silicon Valley, a new HBO satire about the tin-eared excesses and particular mannerisms of today's start-up culture, by Mike Judge, director of Office Space, King of the Hill, and others. We'll screen the first episode (28 minutes).

Plus: Popcorn!
